Grand Sud motorcycle ride

The Grand Sud is best felt on a motorcycle: warm wind, roads that keep opening up, and the sense of being truly far away. The ride starts through the southeast, between hills and villages, where the landscape shifts fast and every turn marks the real beginning of the journey. Further south, the road leads to Fort Dauphin. The town sits between ocean and hills — harbour, market, salt air. A place to slow down, refuel, and gather stories before following the coastline. Along the littoral, the ride turns wilder. Sand, sea wind, lagoons and dunes; sometimes the track narrows, sometimes it stretches toward the horizon. You ride between the ocean and red earth, to the pace of waves and sun. Then the south opens toward Tuléar. After hours of dust and salt, the city arrives like a deep breath — bay, dry heat, evening light. End of the road, or just another stop — the Grand Sud stays in the engine, and in the mind.
