Palmarium & Akanin’ny Nofy

A lemur reserve on the Pangalanes Canal.

South of Toamasina, the Palmarium reserve (Akanin’ny Nofy) hosts several lemur species in semi-freedom, including indri and nocturnal aye-aye. Boat access on the canal and quiet lodges: an easy 2-day nature escape from Tana via Tamatave.
